Jewish Berlin

Berlin’s Jewish history spans eight centuries, from medieval roots through a remarkable golden age of intellectual and commercial life, to the devastation of the Nazi era and the city’s ongoing reckoning with what was lost. This tour walks through it all, in the neighborhoods where it actually happened.

What we can explore

  • Jewish life and contributions across centuries
  • The rupture of the Nazi period
  • Memory, renewal, and present-day Berlin

How we’ll explore

We explore on foot and by public transit. Tell me which periods or questions matter most to you so I can shape the route thoughtfully. Cycling is also possible, with bicycles arranged separately at an additional cost. I can arrange a private car with a professional driver for an additional fee, paid directly to the driver.

Make it your tour

Tell me your travel dates, the size of your group, and what you’re curious about. I’d be delighted to plan a private tour with you.
